Red Planet Recording, Live Sound & Rehearsal was established in May of 2004 by Bruce Howze and Joe Smiley. Longtime friends and band mates, we decided to “do it ourselves” and start our own company. Although we are a new company, we have been providing live sound and recording bands together and separately for over 10 years. Our studio space houses 16 secure, climate controlled, monthly rehearsal rooms, and a recording studio with a very large tracking room and a control room comprised of digital and analog gear. We’ve worked with many different bands of all genres including rock, indie, punk, hardcore, metal, noise, electronic, hip hop, country and blues. We provide live sound engineering and equipment for DIY venues, warehouses, art galleries, stores, and house basements. Our list of clients includes R5 Productions, Vox Populi, Space 1026, Pure Death Productions, Flying V Presents, Urban Outfitters, Risk / Reward, Deep Sleep, and many others. We also engineer at established clubs like The North Star Bar and The Barbary.
